Ponsonby Villa Charm

Nestled in the hustle and bustle of Ponsonby, you’ll find this charming oasis. Sitting by the plunge pool in the perfectly formed outdoor courtyard, it’s hard to believe you’re so close to the city. Striking a balance of old and new, this villa has been lovingly renovated.

The centrepiece, a stunning teppanyaki bar for family and friends to gather, socialise and eat, kept cool under a contemporary timber fan. Black cabinetry handles, a black oak finish on the teppanyaki bar and a black mirrored splashback create a sharper contrast to an otherwise previously stark white kitchen.

Notably, the bathroom is one of our favourite rooms of the house. Previously, both bathrooms had old-world brass fixtures and fittings, which we replaced with contemporary black. Being a heritage property, we retained the claw foot bath.
