Designing the interiors for two large well appointed homes in an exclusive location allowed the palette of materials to have a luxurious element. The black joinery teamed with dark charcoal grey carpet in the formal lounge and bedrooms teamed well with the warmth of timber flooring throughout the entrance, kitchen and informal areas.
The concept of pampering was harnessed in the bathrooms where there’s been a noticeable shift in recent times to embrace a more spa like feel. With the use of natural limestone and rich chocolate marble, a freestanding bath where the owner could enjoy harbour views, a floating double vanity and walk in shower helped create a sense of luxury.
Apart from a wall of dramatic charcoal wall covering in the double height entry the balance of walls were painted a soft warm white for contemporary elegance. The large state of the art kitchens with working scullery were designed to flow through to living and dining spaces which were multi purpose able to be closed off for more intimate occasions or opened up for larger scale entertaining incorporating the outdoors.
